Career & Technical Education (CTE)
Career and technical education programs offer a sequence of courses that provides students with coherent and rigorous content. CTE content is aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare students for further education and careers in current or emerging professions. Marshall ISD CTE
Marshall ISD has seen significant growth in many areas of its CTE Program of Study, with room for improvement in others as we strive to become the best CTE program in East Texas by providing students with the skills needed to be successful beyond High School and an excellent workforce pool for employers in East Texas. Student interest and participation in CTE courses at Marshall High School and Marshall Junior High School continue to increase and student certifications are at an all-time high. MISD has been working with TSTC-Marshall to increase the dual-credit enrollment in the "Mav Tech" program and is hopeful that more students will take advantage of this opportunity.
Goals for this program include continuing to increase student certifications in every program of study; increasing enrollment in TSTC “Mav Tech” program, increasing student enrollment in the Engineering Program of Study, and ensuring that EVERY student has an opportunity to participate in a CTE Program of Study, leaving at Marshall High School.
Marshall Independent School District (MISD) offers Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in the following areas:

Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics
Admission to these CTE programs is based on students’ career interests, aptitude, and availability of class space.
