Calling all SUPERHEROES and Parents/Guardians (of the Galaxy)... Are you ready for a battle like no other? Fun, Games, Food Trucks. Come play instructional games with your superhero, and receive information about the STAAR test. Students MUST ATTEND with a parent or guardian. We will end with a STAAR Pep Rally. Wear your favorite Avengers shirt. It’s the Final Battle…the END GAME!

Attention Crockett Parents.. Tomorrow, Crockett will be conducting a STAAR FIELD test for 4th and 5th grade RLA, and 3rd-5th grade bilingual RLA. Please make sure that your student is in attendance. Tomorrow will be a closed campus. Visitors will not be allowed. Thank you!!

Monday Feb. 5th is the 100 day of school. Students may wear shirt/hat with 100 items on it and uniform bottoms. Students may also dress up as a 100 year old. Have fun and be creative.

Attention Crockett parents... Fall benchmarks for 3rd-5th graders are this week. Tuesday is reading, Wednesday is Math, and Thursday is Science. Friday is a make up day. Benchmarks are very important. It is imperative that our students are here on time, and do their absolute best.

Attention Crockett parents… We will have a tornado drill tomorrow at 2:30 pm, and a fire drill Friday at 2:30 pm. As you know, there are no checkouts during that time. Please plan accordingly. Thank you!

Attention Crockett parents… A callout went out at 10:15 am this morning. Parent pick up will be reduced to the K-2 (inside lane) only today due to impending rain. We want to make sure that our students and staff stay as dry as possible while going to their cars. This may slow down our parent pick up process so please be patient with us. Thank you for understanding.

The City of Marshall has informed us that David Crockett should receive water pressure soon. If you would still like to come check out your student you will be able to. There is a plan in place to move students to a campus with water if need be, but at this time we will stay at David Crockett. We would like to thank you for your patience as we have waited for information from the city on the repair.

We are still without water at David Crockett and have not received an update from the city on timeline. Students are able to eat lunch and parents are able to pick up their students without it counting as an absence. The last time to check your student out will be at 12:30.

The City has informed us there is a water main break which affects our campus, David Crockett. We will have an update for you in 30 minutes to an hour.

Common Assessments are next week for grades 1-5. RLA is Tuesday. Math is Wednesday. Science and Social Studies is Thursday. Make ups are Friday.

Sock-tober Drive is here. Please bring new socks of all sizes to your homeroom teacher. The grade level that donates the most socks will receive a prize.

RED RIBBON WEEK | October 24-27 (October 23rd is a student holiday) Mark your calendars so that you can participate. Look at the daily themes and start planning!

Friday is PINK OUT! Wear pink on Friday, October 13th, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness! Students and staff may wear jeans with pink or a Maverick shirt.

Attention parents.... DC PTO will host its first meeting tomorrow at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria. Please enter the building from the back of the school. Not a member yet? You still have time to join us. Come see what wonderful things the PTO has in store this year.

Fall Break will be here before you know it! Fall Break is October 16th-20th! There is no school for students on Monday, October 23rd, for staff development day.
