Class Celebrations & Birthdays:
Class parties for special holidays are limited to three according to state law (FMNV Requirements). Christmas/Winter, Valentine's Day, and end of the year Celebrations.
Parties (specified holidays above) are to be held the last 45 minutes of the school day.
During those parties, if students bring food or drinks for the class, please make sure it is in a sealed, wrapped, unopened package(s). We do not celebrate with ghosts, witches, or religious items. If we have students that cannot attend any of those celebrations due to religious reasons, they will have extra library time, or possibly help in another classroom.
Birthday Parties – Students are NOT permitted to have birthday celebrations. Parents cannot bring to school snacks, flowers, drinks, balloons, stuffed animals, etc. to celebrate birthdays. Snacks are permitted but not for birthday celebrations. TEA requires the campus to provide a specific amount of instructional minutes, and we will be unable to provide those instructional minutes if we have birthday parties for each student on campus.
